Shh! Please maintain silence.
"Take your seat?" - Madam was constantly screaming in the class, but there was no response from the students. It was an English class.
Sushanth, on the other side, knocked on the entrance door to enter the room.
Professor Aurora Sinistral was busy taking roll call. After completing all the regular formalities, she began with some grammar topics.
The noise in the room continued...
As always, the fun originated from the special category of students sitting at the back, popularly known as the Backbench Students (BB Students) - a trend that's existed since the early days of schooling and continues through professional education.
A little later,
Madhav from the BB group called out to Sushanth to join him. Bored by himself, Sushanth quickly moved to the back. Professor Aurora noticed and was left wondering what was happening at the back benches.
"Are they even paying attention to the class?" she thought, or maybe they were busy with something else. She wanted to know the truth.
Sushanth suddenly rushed from the corner to hand over his bag, as his friends were teasing him about it...
Shortly after, Miss Aurora began making eye contact with everyone in the class. For a brief moment, the class turned serious, with pin-drop silence. She had started dictating the lesson instead of continuing orally.
Suddenly, a loud crunching sound echoed across the room. Some students at the back had a mischievous smile on their faces, and Madhav let out a small guffaw.
Miss Aurora paused her dictation, slowly raised her head with a smile, and looked at the students.
"What was that, guys? Just finished your lunch, huh?"
Someone shouted, "It was an apple!"
She chuckled, "That's too funny. Don't dare do that again.
Now, back to the topic I'm dictating."
After all the scenes had settled and class ended, Professor Aurora Sinistral returned to her cabin.
Just then, she heard the same crunch sound again. Confused, she looked around.
It was Professor Ramana Chari from the Physics department next to her who called out, "That was me!"
Miss Aurora couldn't help but smile again...
